Branding and customisation

There are two main ways in which we can apply custom branding to your assess site; a custom site url and adding your logo to appear in various locations throughout the site.

Site URLs

The site URL follows a consistent format but with a subdomain portion which should be specified by your organisation. The format is as follows:

https://<your_organisation_abbr>.assess.risr.global

The subdomain needs to be unique and so we usually recommend using words or abbreviations over initialisms (think how many "UoM" institutions there are in the world!)

During implementation, your Product Specialist will work with you to agree and a set up a suitable URL for your site.

Logos

We have three options for logo placement in the site: In the site header, on the login page and on any reports that are sent from the system.

Site header

The site header logo image appears consistently in the top left of the screen, as shown below. It also appears in any emails sent from the system.

sq logo.png

The image file should be orientated in landscape (wider than it is tall), at least 44px in height, with no margins and set on a transparent background. Images should be no larger than 30kb in size and in .png format.

If no image is supplied the site defaults to the risr/ assess logo.

Login page

The login page logo appears to the left of the sign-in options on the site and browser application login pages, as shown below. From v8.12, it will also be used by the iPad.

round logo.png

The image file should be orientated in portrait (taller than it is wide, or square), at least 80px wide, with no margins and set on a transparent background. Images should be no larger than 30kb in size and in .png format.

If no logo is supplied, the login form uses the full width of the interface element.

Reports

It is also possible to add a mono branded logo to be used in reports. The image file should be no larger than 30kb in size and in .png format.
