DICOM images can be uploaded to the resource library and then added to an item for use in an exam. During an exam the candidate will be able to interact with the DICOM resource, viewing each individual image in order to answer questions.
Only specific DICOM formats and TransferSyntax are supported, use the guide below to ensure your resources are formatted correctly.
DICOM image support
DICOM support was added to /Assess as part of update 8.2.0-beta and supports following formats and TransferSyntax variations any DICOM images which are in different format/transfer syntax are not supported.
Image size: It is recommended that DICOM images over 100 slices should not used in exams as this can cause slow loading of exams.
Total Exam Size: /Assess supports a total exam size of 2GB. If you require larger exams than this please contact our service desk.
Ordering of images: Ensure the images are numerically and sequentially named for example "001, 002, 003" etc. and order by name before the upload to ensure a correct order.
Upload: The DICOM images must all be put into a compressed/zipped folder for the upload to be successful.
