Candidate view explained
The image shows an example view of the candidates screen. Note that each possible passing criterion is reported separately. Data can also be sorted by clicking the column name. In the example below, the table has been ordered by surname.
- Passing score for this date: The passing score for the exam either system-generated or set by manually overriding the passing score.
- Marks: The raw mark achieved by the candidate / the maximum score available for the exam
- Score: The candidate's score as a percentage
- Dimensions(s): The outcome of the candidate's performance evaluated against any dimensional passing criteria. Note that the entry here is a URL. Click the link to view the individual criteria against which the candidate has been evaluated.
- Passes: The number of individual items/stations the candidate has passed / the total number of items/stations in the exam.
- Pass/Fail: The pass or fail outcome based on the system-generated (or manually overwritten) passing score.
- Grade: Any grading label that has been attributed to the candidate's score.
- Fail reason: If the candidate has failed the exam, the criterion (or criteria) against which the candidate has been judged to have failed will be shown here. The Score value in row 4 shows that the candidate has failed because their score was below the overall passing score. This could also be Dimension, Min.count (minimum number of items) to pass or CSP (critical stop point).
Observe how this candidate has failed the exam based on the cut score, but has a "Pass" grade applied. This is because the grading bands need to be aligned with the cut score. See the article on creating grade boundaries for further information.
- View Marks: Navigates to the Accessing candidate responses and marks screen.
