Adding resources

When creating items, you can add item resources and notes to support the item during administration. Item resources can be created from the resources tab from the top menu bar or within a specific item. All resources will be stored within the resource library and can be managed from there.

When creating resources in an item, you have two options:

  1. Item resource: Resources are available and visible for all users (Candidates, Examiners, Observers, and Role Players) by default. Item resources can be restricted and tagged to assessment domains and learning outcomes by assigning blueprint dimensions.
  2. Item note: Notes are user access-specific based on the type of note and are typically used for instructions. Examiner notes, marking notes and role-player notes are not visible to candidates.

The default order of resources in the browser application of risr/ assess will always be candidate notes as the first document, followed by resources, examiner notes, marking notes for examiners, and role-player notes.

Managing item resources

Once item resources have been added to an item, you can manage them from the interface of the item resources page.

  1. Download: Download the item resource or note as a PDF.
  2. Edit: To make any changes to the resource, clicking edit will open the selected resource allowing you to make amendments to the resource name, caption, enable/disable restricted resource, enable/disable station title and update the content.
  3. Remove: Clicking remove deletes the resource or note from the item resources page. Removing the resource from the item resource page won't delete the resource from the instance and can still be located in the resource library.

If you want to reorder the resources, click on the resource, drag, and drop it in the desired order.
